My New Book

My new book, Animal Psalms, is now available from Able Muse Press!

Able Muse editor Alex Pepple, who—as always—did a meticulous job of editing the text, also designed the cover, getting the metaphor of the title just right. The reflected light of the harp emerges from darkness; the awkward cat climbs toward what it can never really understand, though it may succeed in making a kind of musical sound, if not real music. It’s the same with the songs we human animals make as we reach for something always just beyond our grasp.
