An Encore for Kevin Carey

December 16, 2016 ~ Alfred ~ Leave a comment

Garrison Keillor’s good taste led him to another poem from Kevin Carey’s recent publication, Jesus Was a Homeboy (Cavankerry Press, 2016). Here’s a link to “Getting It Right” at The Writer’s Almanac. Kevin will be one of the poets who’ll read at next year’s Newburyport Literary Festival.

My friend and Emma Andrews Workshop participant Kevin Carey’s poem is featured on The Writer’s Almanac today. It’s a good poem for Garrison Keillor to read aloud, as it’s called “Reading to My Kids.” We’ll hear more from Kevin Carey at the Newburyport Literary Festival next April (2017).
